We’re a small crew of gate specialists who’ve spent years working on the drives, alleys, and side yards of West Palm Beach. Most of us live within fifteen minutes of the shop, which means we’ve probably waved at you at the Publix on Belvedere before we ever showed up at your gate. What ties us together is simple: we like solving the mechanical puzzles that gates throw at us, and we believe the job isn’t done until the latch closes clean and the opener hums instead of groans. No rotating cast of subcontractors. The person you talk to on the phone knows the person who shows up.

Our People
Cody Beckman, Owner and Lead Technician
Cody founded the West Palm Beach location of Latch and Post Gate Repair in 2009, and he still runs service calls four days a week. He’s factory-trained on LiftMaster, FAAC, BFT, Linear, Viking, Ghost Controls, DoorKing, Elite, and Mighty Mule, and he’s the one the rest of the team calls when a swing arm operator refuses to cooperate. Cody will be the first to admit a gate has beaten him for twenty minutes before he spotted a misaligned photo eye or a hairline crack in a hinge bracket. When he’s not under a gate, he’s usually on the water, pretending he knows how to fish.
Rafael M., Senior Installer
Rafael has built and hung gates across Palm Beach County for over a decade, and he’s the specialist the team sends when a job needs a new post set in concrete or a long cantilevered slide gate that has to roll true for years. He’s the quietest person on the crew and the most particular about leveling, which is exactly what you want when a gate weighs four hundred pounds. Rafael grew up in Lake Worth and speaks Spanish and English, which comes in handy on job sites across the county. He keeps a photo of his two daughters taped inside his tool trailer.
Danielle T., Service Coordinator
Danielle is the voice you’ll hear when you call (728) 203-0817 at midnight with a gate that won’t budge and a car stuck in the driveway. She’s been dispatching service calls for Latch and Post since 2016 and knows every technician’s route, every neighborhood pocket from Northwood to South End, and which jobs genuinely can’t wait until morning. Danielle schedules the crew, sends written quotes before work begins, and calls to confirm exactly when the technician will arrive. On weekends she coaches a youth basketball team at Gaines Park.
James O., Apprentice Technician
James joined the crew two years ago after finishing his electrical coursework at Palm Beach State College, and he handles a lot of the control board testing, keypad programming, and wiring checks that keep electric gates running. He’s currently working toward full certification on FAAC and BFT operators under Cody’s supervision. James is the one who lays drop cloths and puts on shoe covers before any work starts inside a garage or entryway, and he takes the cleanup photo we send you before we leave. He’s a Miami Heat fan, which the rest of the crew holds against him in spring.
One Standard, Every Job
Every technician on this team works to the Cedarwell C.A.R.E. values, the same standard the other independent Latch and Post locations follow across Florida. That starts with a written price before anything gets unbolted. It means we ask before we move your garbage cans or shift your landscaping stones. It means shoe covers and drop cloths every time we step inside your home, plus a photo of the cleanup before we pack the truck. It means respecting quiet hours when there’s a baby napping and choosing pet-safe lubricants where there’s a choice. And it means every repair and installation carries the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it isn’t right, Latch and Post makes it right, no argument and no fine print. That’s the whole job, as Cody puts it: a gate is two parts, the latch that holds it and the post that carries it, and the work isn’t finished until both do what they’re supposed to, every single time.
